Description
The 400GBASE-DR4 QSFP-DD is a 400Gb/s four-channel small form-factor pluggable double-density (QSFP-DD) optical module that enables link connections up to 500 meters over single-mode fiber (SMF) with MTP/MPO connectors. It complies with the QSFP-DD MSA and IEEE 802.3bs standards. The 400GBASE DR4 module converts eight 50Gb/s (PAM4) electrical signals into four parallel optical signals, each at a rate of 100Gb/s, for a total data rate of 400Gb/s. It uses an MPO 12-fiber connector to transmit four parallel 100G channels and utilizes 1310nm EML lasers. It supports 4x100G breakout connections to QSFP28 100G-DR transceivers. This transceiver has been tested and confirmed compatible with 400G QSFP-DD Ethernet switches from companies such as Arista, Cisco, Juniper, and Edge-Core. This transceiver is compatible with any third-party equipment that conforms to the MSA open slot standard.
